Make your waste environmentally friendly

The recycling process is important and plays a very important role in sustainable development. But it uses energy and resources. Hence, a net environmental cost is considered. Many products that we think are “recycled” are actually “recycled” and even after recycling, we still end up with bags of trash in our trash. In England, each household produces one ton of waste per year, which is a total of 27 million tons.

How can we have waste and be environmentally friendly at the same time?

Apart from looking for products that can be recycled, there are three other ways:

  1. Using products that can be reused. For example, using containers to store sweets, cakes, etc. and for other purposes, using reusable shopping bags.
  2. By setting up a composting site in our backyard where paper towels, eggshells, etc. are turned into humus.
  3. Make sure your waste is environmentally friendly. This is only possible if we use biodegradable products and compost.
    These products include disposable vegetable containers, wet wipes, cleaning materials and other items that are used daily on a significant scale by households.

Many disposable containers are made of foam or covered with plastic, both of which are not only toxic and harmful to human health, but also lead to the production of toxic waste. In addition, disposable plastic containers can only be used once and then become garbage. Since these containers are non-biodegradable, they never break down or get lost. How are corn starch containers produced?

In the first step, corn is converted into flour and starch. Then, corn starch along with other additives and a small amount of polypropylene (PP) is made into a uniform compound in high-speed mixers, and then it is turned into vegetable granules in an extruder. In the next step, the granules are made into vegetable sheets and finally they become vegetable containers in different shapes in different forming machines. PP is added to make containers resistant to water and heat. Polypropylene is absorbed by corn starch and as a result, it will be completely decomposed together with starch.
